Every classroom. Every teacher. Every student. Using stories.
At the Center for Climate Literacy, we believe that every young person deserves the kind of education that will prepare them to live well with one another in a climate changing world.
We support preK-16 educators with open-access resources, training, workshops, fellowships, and curricula to advance climate literacy education in every classroom. To do so, we use stories for young people to cultivate climate literacy while meeting content area learning standards.
Our goals are not academic. Rather, we seek practical, transformative change within education itself. And we believe that teachers are best situated to help facilitate this change.

You don't need to be a climate scientist to be a part of the work involved with transforming our society to the just, green, inclusive world young people deserve. As such, we understand climate literacy to be a kind of "Earth civics"—a capacity that includes climate science but centers the role of stories in developing pro-climate values, attitudes, and beliefs. Everyone is invited to get involved.
