I am passionate about environmental protection and am actively involved in many environmentally focused student groups and events here on campus. I volunteer as a water monitor for the MNPCA. In the future, I want to be an environmental and energy lawyer, and I hope to use my time as an undergraduate student to learn as much as I can about climate teaching and learning, as well as environmental science and policy.
Amber is a PhD candidate in STEM Education (Mathematics Education Track). She is interested in developing mathematics curricula related to understanding the algebra of climate models. Amber has also developed and researched mathematical modeling tasks aimed at encouraging students to think through possible solutions to environmental issues.
I am an Erasmus Mundus Scholar in the field of Children's Literature and Media. I am interested in Children's films and film education. I am originally from Egypt, but now based in Wroclaw Poland. I am writing my final thesis on Storytelling Practices in Egypt with a focus on the issue of Diglossia.
Watching in real-time as I have grown up, the disappearance of so many forms of life on this planet has been incredibly disheartening. The nearly constant reminders that humans are disastrous for other life as I have matured have been distressing to say the least.
