Aneesa is a doctoral student in Education at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research is using book-authoring as a path to place-based, decolonized climate literacy for middle & high schoolers in the global south. She has developed and pilot tested the Young Climate Authors program and an associated educator training program. Prior to her PhD, Aneesa spent 14 years running a progressive school in Chennai, India. She is a CEE Change Fellow with the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE).
