CCL Fellows are educators, scholars, students, artists, creators, policymakers, and community members who actively advance climate literacy education as part of their work. Anyone who meets the criteria can become a Fellow at any time by completing the sign up form. Fellows renew their status every April by sharing updates of their work in a survey given to the entire cadre. Fellows who are faculty in higher education will also be required to serve as reviewers for Climate Literacy in Education.

Examples of activities that qualify for Fellowship status include but are not limited to the following:

  • Teach a unit that includes climate literacy as a key component
  • Publish articles, op-eds or other writing on climate literacy in peer-reviewed or popular publications
  • Create media thematizing climate literacy (i.e. books, illustrations, videos, etc)
  • Promote climate literacy through scholarly or public presentations

For questions, please email the Center at [email protected].
