Shahla Adnan, Assistant Professor at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Pakistan, IAMCR ambassador in Pakistan holds degrees in Computer Sciences, Communication Sciences, and an MPhil in Media Studies, currently pursuing a PhD in Media. She is Co-chair Inclusive Communication and People with Disabilities (ICPWD-IAMCR) working group and an elected member International Council (IC-IAMCR). With two decades of diverse professional experience in academia, industry, and research, Shahla's current research delves into climate change communications, ICTs and digital divide, disability studies and sustainability. Past research areas are science communication, music's influence on youth, mental health, satellite-based communications, and architecture-cultural intersection. Shahla is deeply interested in Sufism and its spiritual pursuits. Notable achievements include founding a global disability-focused research group at IAMCR, securing 50 endorsements and scholarly recognition. Established visual support corner, received South Asia "Star Laureate Award" in Media, a Silver Medal in Communication Sciences, and was acknowledged for radio productions’ excellence by USAID. Additionally, she ranked third globally in a "Communication and Presentation Skills" workshop and earned proficiency award.
